Our decorative epoxy process
- Free on-site quote. Call (404) 480-0962 or request one online. We measure the space, test moisture, and go through finish samples with you.
- Diamond grinding. We grind the concrete to open the surface so the system bonds mechanically instead of sitting on top.
- Repair and patching. Cracks, pits, and spalls are filled and leveled so the finish reads flawless.
- Base and design coat. The pigmented base goes down, then the metallic or flake layer is worked by hand to the sample you approved.
- Topcoat and cure. A clear, chemical-resistant wear coat seals the design. Walk on it in about a day, full use after three.
Sugar Hill decorative epoxy: common questions
How much does decorative epoxy flooring cost in Sugar Hill?
Pricing depends on square footage, slab condition, and the finish, so we quote every Sugar Hill floor individually and for free. Flake systems are the accessible entry point, and hand-worked metallic floors carry a premium for the artistry and extra material. Larger continuous areas price better per square foot, and bundling with other flooring work usually earns package pricing.
What exactly is metallic epoxy?
Metallic epoxy is clear resin loaded with mica-based metallic pigments that are moved across the floor with brushes, rollers, and air while the resin is wet. The pigments settle into swirls and depth effects that look like polished stone or flowing metal. Every floor is worked by hand on site, which is why no two Sugar Hill installs come out identical.
Are decorative floors durable enough for real traffic?
Yes, because the decorative layer never takes the wear. Every metallic and flake floor we install is sealed under a commercial-grade clear topcoat, the same wear layer we put on shop floors. Shoes, chairs, pets, and dropped tools meet that coat rather than the pigment work, and the topcoat can be renewed years later to bring back the day-one look.
How long does installation take?
Most Sugar Hill floors are installed in one to two days on site, with metallic designs sometimes taking an extra day for the design coat to be worked and locked in. Light foot traffic is fine after about 24 hours and full use after 72. We confirm exact timing at the quote.
