Our epoxy installation process
- Free on-site quote. Call (404) 480-0962 or request one online. We measure the space, check slab age and condition, and test moisture in person.
- Diamond grinding. We grind off curing compounds and open the troweled surface so the epoxy bonds mechanically.
- Repair and patching. Shrinkage cracks, pits, and rough spots are filled and leveled before coating.
- Base coat and broadcast. The pigmented epoxy base goes down, followed by your flake, quartz, or metallic finish.
- Topcoat and cure. A chemical-resistant topcoat locks in the finish. Walk on it in about a day, park on it after three.
Cumming epoxy flooring: common questions
How much does epoxy flooring cost in Cumming?
Pricing depends on slab condition, square footage, and the system you choose, so we quote every Cumming job individually and for free. New construction usually sits at the friendly end because prep is light, while old coatings or high moisture readings add work. Larger continuous areas price better per square foot, and bundling with other flooring work usually earns package pricing.
How soon can a new concrete slab be coated?
Concrete needs roughly 28 days of cure before coating, and in humid Georgia we verify with a moisture test rather than trusting the calendar. Coating too early traps water and blisters the floor, which is a common failure on new builds rushed to closing. If your slab is not ready, we schedule the install for when it is, and the floor lasts decades instead of seasons.
Will hot tires peel the epoxy off my garage floor?
Not with a properly built system. Hot tire pickup is what happens to thin DIY coatings on unprepared concrete. We diamond grind the slab, install a high-solids base, and finish with a topcoat rated for hot tires and automotive fluids. That build is why our Cumming garage floors survive Georgia summers.
How long does installation take?
Most Cumming garages and basements are coated in one to two days on site. The cure sets the real schedule: light foot traffic after about 24 hours, vehicles after 72. For builders and commercial projects we sequence around trades and opening dates, and the timing commitments go in the written quote.
