- Written specification, area by area. Repair bays, wash areas, parts storage and customer walkways rarely need the same build, so each one is quoted for the work it actually does.
- Mechanical preparation. We grind or shot blast back to sound concrete, cut out the contaminated areas around the lifts and drains, and fill cracks and joints. Nothing gets coated over oil.
- Installed to an agreed sequence. We work through the shop in the order that keeps you earning, and you know before we start how long each bay is out and when it comes back.
- Cure, check and hand back. We confirm the floor has cured hard before vehicles and jack stands return to it, walk the shop with you, and stripe or mark whatever the layout needs.

How much does auto shop flooring cost in Atlanta?
It is priced per square foot, and the two things that move the number are the system and the condition of the slab underneath it. An epoxy flake floor on sound concrete sits at the lower end. A fast cure polyaspartic build, or a floor that needs contamination ground out and patching before anything will bond, sits higher. Epoxy or polyurea for a service bay?
It is a downtime decision more than a durability one. Both make a serviceable bay floor when they are specified and installed properly. Polyurea and polyaspartic cure in hours, so a bay can be back under vehicles across a weekend, and they handle hot tire pickup well. Epoxy flake builds thickness more cheaply and hides wear better, but it needs a longer cure before the bay earns again. If closing bays costs you more than the floor does, the faster system usually pays for the difference.
Is this the same as a garage floor coating?
No, and assuming it is may be the most common reason a shop floor fails early. A residential garage takes one or two cars, light foot traffic and very little chemistry. A service bay takes hot tires every day, oil, coolant, brake fluid and degreaser, dropped tools, and point loads from jack stands and lift posts. The two systems can look similar in a photograph and are specified very differently. We install both, and we do not put a home garage build into a working shop.
Can you coat a floor that is soaked in oil?
Usually yes, but not by coating over it. Oil that has soaked into concrete has to come out mechanically, which means grinding or shot blasting back to sound material and cutting out the worst of it around the lifts and drains. Where the contamination runs deep the slab is patched or rebuilt in those areas first. Anything applied straight onto a contaminated floor bonds to the oil rather than to the concrete, and it comes away with the first hot tire that sits on it.
