Epoxy floor installation for Atlanta homes and businesses
Epoxy is a two part resin applied over a prepared concrete slab, where it cures into one continuous surface with no grout lines or seams to trap dirt. ACC Facility Services installs epoxy floors in garages, warehouses, showrooms, commercial kitchens, and basements throughout Atlanta.
Most of the work happens before any resin is poured. The slab is mechanically ground to open the surface so the coating can key into it, cracks and spalls are filled, and the concrete is checked for moisture first, because vapor moving up through a slab is the most common reason a coating blisters or peels later. That preparation is the difference between a floor that lasts and one that fails in a season.
Which system goes on top depends on how the floor is used. A warehouse aisle is chosen for abrasion and impact resistance, a commercial kitchen for slip resistance and a sealed edge detail at the walls, a showroom for appearance. We look at the slab, ask how the space is used, and quote the system that fits the job and the budget.
Epoxy is not the right answer for every slab. Where a floor has active moisture movement, deep structural cracking, or a surface that has been sealed repeatedly, another system is often the better call, and it is worth pricing both rather than coating over a problem.
