Our garage floor coating process
- Free on-site quote. Call (404) 480-0962 or request one online. We look at your actual slab and how you use the space, not a photo.
- Diamond grinding. We grind the slab to open the surface, cutting through oil stains and old sealers.
- Crack and spall repair. Cracks, pits, and spalling are filled and honed flush so nothing telegraphs through the coating.
- Base coat and flake broadcast. A high-solids epoxy base goes down, and vinyl flake is broadcast into it while it is wet.
- Topcoat and cure. A clear, chemical-resistant topcoat seals the floor. Walk on it in about a day, park on it in three.

Should I choose epoxy or polyurea for my garage floor?
Epoxy builds a thicker, harder film and is the value pick for most Norcross garages. Polyurea is more flexible, more UV stable, and cures fast enough to put a bay back in service the next day, which matters for work garages that cannot sit idle. We install both and will price both options in your quote so you can compare directly.
Will oil, fuel, and brake fluid damage the coating?
No. A cured epoxy or polyurea topcoat resists the fluids a garage actually sees: motor oil, gas, brake fluid, coolant, and most solvents. Spills wipe up instead of soaking in, which is exactly the problem with bare concrete. We see it constantly in Norcross shop bays.
How long does a garage floor installation take?
Most Norcross garages are coated in one to two days. Standard epoxy wants about 24 hours before foot traffic and 72 before vehicles, while a polyurea system can take traffic the next day. If downtime is the constraint, tell us at the quote and we will spec the system around it.
Is a coated floor slippery when wet?
A full-broadcast flake floor has real texture, and we can add an anti-slip additive to the topcoat for extra grip. Gloss in a photo reads as slick, but the flake profile underfoot is closer to fine sandpaper. For work bays that see water or coolant, we spec the additive by default.
